Home for the holidays - send Christmas cards
I will be sharing some of my home for the holidays tips. Whether you are stuck at home for the holidays or maybe we should say blessed to have a home for the holidays, these tips will possibly add joy for you, your family and others. Sending Christmas cards has been a very long tradition of mine. It is a tradition that has become not so popular with many. The extra time and expense has gotten in the way for many. With 2020’and it’s challenges, it might be a good idea to revisit the idea of Christmas cards. There are many who might need the joy of receiving some happy mail right now. If you have children this is a good time to introduce this tradition to them. Have them make cards. Remember the glue and glitter cards we made in school? I would draw an outline of a Christmas tree with my glue and then shake that green glitter everywhere! We actually have sent out approximately 100 cards each year. Yes that’s a lot! But with extended family and friends we did not want to leave anyone out. A list of 10 friends and family is a great start. Your cards can be store bought or there are lots of crafty businesses that sell beautiful handcrafted cards that are a gift in themselves! With technology it is so easy to order a sweet photo card and even upload your family or your own photo right from your phone. So start thinking now about your card This could be a fun project for Thanksgiving day! Much love and happy holidays! (happy thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah)
